Manchester prepares to showcase its thriving events industry in Birmingham

This September, Visit Manchester, the tourist board for Greater Manchester, will bring a touch of unique mancunian hospitality to Birmingham as part of the conference industry showcase, Event UK.

Event UK is the sister show to International Confex and attracts over 300 exhibitors including destinations, venues and events service suppliers. It takes place at the NEC in Birmingham on 22-23 September. Visit Manchester is sponsoring the VIP programme at Event UK.

As part of Event UK, Visit Manchester's conference team will present an exclusive Manchester reception, to showcase the city's thriving conference and events industry. The team will be supplying information about the range of services and support that they offer to UK and international events buyers and planners.

All registered VIP's at Event UK will be invited to the Manchester reception which takes place between 3pm and 5pm in the Manchester VIP lounge on the first evening of Event UK.

Earlier this year, Manchester was named the third-best conference destination in the world by the readers of Conference & Incentive Travel - Europe magazine. Visit Manchester's conference team along with key partners, will be on hand to demonstrate why Manchester is a great choice for a variety of events.

The afternoon reception on Tuesday 22nd September will offer a unique showcase of Manchester, presenting the city in a relaxed but informative environment. Only VIP delegates will be able to attend the reception. Visit Manchester will be exhibiting at Event UK for the full duration of the show. The Manchester stand will be C1000, located opposite the Manchester VIP Lounge.
